A hard working defense laid the foundations for the win v Cratloe. Superb displays from Eoin Perril and young Fionn O’Brien at the back allowed the half back trio of Cathal O’Brien Darragh O’Shea and Conor Tierney to dominate their opposite and setup numerous scoring opportunities for the forward division. Kealan Butler at centre forward led the way with powerful running and some well taken points. The game was very tight at halftime with the score at 6 points to 3 in our favour. With ten minutes gone in the second half Butler got on the end of a good move from defense and finished to the net. He followed this up with a good pointed effort to end the game with 1 4.Shortly after he had to be substituted with an injury. The following ten minutes saw us loose two more players to injury. Cathal Ruane to a shoulder injury and Cullen McCabe. Conor Brannock finished a fine move late on to the net to end the game as a contest. This added to his five pointed frees capped off a good performance from the boys. Other scorers were. Cathal Ruane Eoghan thynne and Darrragh O’Shea with a point each.
