Feile Peile Na nOg Division 4 Quarter Final

Doora Barefield 3-07   Newtownbutler 1-02

This Quarter Final was played in Killygarry, the same venue as the match earlier in the day. Played in beautiful sunshine and with great support from Doora Barefield parents and the local host club Killygarry, this was a great occasion for the boys.

A tense opening period with both sides playing very well and after ten minutes, Doora Barefield led by two points to one with scores coming from Nicki Hardiman and a free from Daragh Nagle. The Doora Barefield then found the net with a superbly taken goal from Nicki Hardiman and this was followed by a point from Eoghan Talty and a free from Daragh Nagle to lead at half time on a scoreline of Doora Barefield 1-04 to Newtwonbutler 0-01.

However, the Fermanagh side started the second half strongly and scored a goal inside the opening minutes. Doora Barefield showed great composure to respond and two goals from Eoghan Talty and points from Nicki Hardiman and Daragh Nagle closed out the game with a win for the Doora Barefield boys on a scoreline of 3-07 to 1-02.

The Doora Barefield boys now head to Inniskeen in Monaghan where they will play Eire Og Greystones (Wicklow Champions) in a semi final at 1.15pm
