Ennistymon get the better of Parish in Under 14 Division 1 Football Final

Ennistymon claimed their fifth Under 14 Division 1 Football title on Saturday 13th August in Miltown.

Colm Kearney from Ennistymon scored a goal after 5 minutes. St. Joseph’s then began to get going and leveled things up. However the Ennistymon forwards were not relenting and continued on their scoring spree.

The score of the game was from Ennistymon with a team move from one end of the field to the other which ended with a goal from Diarmuid Fahy.

The winners led 2-7 to 0-4 at half time playing with the wind.

The Parish pushed hard after the break and scored two goals inside the first six minutes from great play by Tony Butler and Ethan Coughlan.

There was no doubt that Ennistymon had the majority of possession, a lot of their braces forward broke down and allowed Barefield to counter attack.

Ennistymon finished out the game with a flurry of points and achieved a nine point win. Captain for Ennistymon Eoin Rouine was presented with the trophy.

Final Score:   St. Joseph’s Doora- Barefield 2-07 Ennistymon 3-13.
