Two goals in the space of three minutes approaching the break made the difference in the end in this match against Sixmilebridge’s second team. David Conroy’s free taking kept St. Joseph’s in the match in the opening half with a 0-5, 0-3 advantage after 20 minutes.
The St. Joseph’s defence remained solid with Brian Clancy and Mark Hallinan doing well and also David Conroy’s frees kept St. Joseph’s in the game for long periods. Sixmilebridge at one point in the second half had six unanswered points which left St. Joseph’s a lot to do in the final quarter.
